Our Team

Ian, who has been a head chef for over five years all with two AA rosettes, has been in the Cotswolds area for the last four years most recently at the Kings Hotel in Chipping Campden. Previous to that his career was spent in Cornwall working at the St Moritz Hotel in Rock and two restaurants in Padstow.

Ian, who lives with his wife near Cheltenham, said: “I am really pleased to be joining the Old Stock Inn which is a restaurant with such a lot of potential. The refurbishment of the hotel is absolutely fantastic so my plan is to enhance the food offering even further to match the environment it sits within. It’s a lovely close-knit team and everyone has been incredibly welcoming.

“Like most chefs I live for what I do and have a real passion for food in general. As a lot of my early career was spent in Cornwall I love to work with fish and shellfish and I suppose that is where I feel most at home but I’d describe my style as modern, British.

“I really enjoy the creativity of cooking and using fresh, local produce. Seasonality is also a massive thing for me and that will come across in the menus I produce. Overall, I’m looking forward to cooking great food and building on the reputation we are starting to develop in the Cotswolds area. I’m hopefully aiming for another two AA rosette in the near future.”

Charlotte Tuck, general manager at the Old Stocks Inn, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Ian to the Old Stocks Inn team. He brings with him a wealth of experience and a real passion for food which will be of enormous benefit to our plans to establish our restaurant as a must-visit place to eat in the glorious Cotswolds.”
