Refurbishment

The Old Stocks Inn has become a haven for high-vis jackets and hard hat wearers, and our site team have been working hard to prepare the building for our brand new look.

In order to transform The Old Stocks Hotel to The Old Stocks Inn, we’ve been working with Tekne, who have fitted some fantastic restaurants and hotels, including the Great Northern Hotel, Jamie’s Italian in Piccadilly Square, and the Tramshed in Shoreditch. They’ve wasted no time in getting to grips with it all, and the first thing to do was clear some space to get everything ready for the new interiors. Our site team have started off downstairs, removing the existing kitchen and taking down the bar to allow us to reconfigure the space.

All of the existing furniture has also been removed, and in many cases, won’t be making a return! One thing we're really keen to do is introduce a more contemporary feel with our furniture, while keeping the building’s heritage alive. Throughout the process of planning the refurbishment, we’ve had to think carefully about how best to combine the hotel’s rich history with a fresher, modern approach, to ensure that old meets new in the best possible way. We’ll be providing some sneak peeks in our future blogs, so keep reading to find out more.
