In line with the latest Government advice that the hospitality sector must remain closed until 4th July at the earliest, The Old Stocks Inn will be suspended from opening until then.
We are missing our Troupe, our lovely guests and the hustle and bustle of our wonderful little hotel very much. With that in mind, we wrote a poem in dedication to our business. We cannot wait to fill the four walls with all the same familiar sights and sounds again as soon as possible.
The hustle and the bustle,
The dinging of the bell.
The ringing of the phone and
The fresh espresso smell.
The sizzle of the pizza oven,
Shuffle of the feet.
The beeping of the card machines,
And mellow, chilled out beats.
The couple at the window table,
Looking at the view.
A dusky Cotswold evening with a
Warm and hazy hue.
The laughter and the conversation,
Steaks are being browned.
The pop of something bubbly,
And a celebration sound.
The rattle of the cocktail shaker,
Hiss of the cask ale.
The “Aah” of those relaxing as their cares
All seem to pale.
These things we’ve come to know and love,
They set the ‘Old Stocks’ tone.
We’ll hear them all again our friends,
When we can leave our homes.
Much Love, Charlotte & Rich

Nestled in the heart of Stow-on-the-Wold, The Old Stocks Inn is a beautiful 17th-century coaching inn that really stands out from the crowd. Our boutique hotel is luxurious, but not stuffy. Elegant, but not pretentious. Quaint, but not twee. We’re passionate about what we do and we have fun doing it. We think this all adds up to a unique experience for our guests – but come and see for yourself!
