Fast forward to 2020 and we’re so proud of where we are today. From becoming one of the most renowned boutique hotels in the Cotswolds, to securing two AA Rosettes for our restaurant and unveiling our very own luxury holiday cottage, it’s safe to say we’ve achieved a lot in five short years.

But, of course, we’re never ones to rest on our laurels and, we know we couldn’t have got to where we are today without our loyal customers, our amazing team and our outstanding suppliers.

So, to mark our fifth birthday, we’re making three pledges for the future. These pledges sit at the core of what we do and will run throughout every element of our business as we move into the months and years ahead:

1. People: Rewarding Loyalty

Our people are what makes us so special here at the Old Stocks. From the guests who return year after year, to our long-serving staff (affectionately known as our troupe!) whose personalities have shaped each area of what we do.

So, we’re pledging to do more to reward that loyalty. We’ll be creating new and exciting ways to reward our team and we’ll be investing in new technology to improve the way we reward and retain our loyal customers.

2. Thinking Locally

From our home in Stow-on-the-Wold, in the picture-perfect Cotswolds, we’re lucky to have a whole host of amazing suppliers right on our doorstep.

We’ll be working closely with the very best suppliers our region has to offer, handpicking based on quality to further enhance our customers’ experience and give people an even more memorable stay at the Old Stocks Inn.

3. Sustainability

It goes without saying that running a sustainable and environmentally friendly business is incredibly important nowadays and, here at the Old Stocks, we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to do just that.

In the coming weeks and months, expect to see us taking bigger and bolder steps in this area, as we work to reduce single use plastics, paper and food wastage wherever we can.

Keep following us on social media for the latest on how we’re living up to our pledges.
