The Old Stocks Inn is looking for a reliable, hardworking Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team in the heart of Stow-on-the-Wold.
You don’t need to arrive with years of kitchen experience. If you’re enthusiastic, willing to get stuck in and interested in food and hospitality, we can help you learn.
This is a hands-on role in a busy professional kitchen. You’ll be an important part of keeping everything running smoothly, supporting our chefs and, if you’re interested in progressing, getting the opportunity to learn more about food preparation and working your way up in the kitchen.
The role
We’re looking for someone who:
Is reliable and turns up ready to work
Enjoys being part of a busy team
Isn’t afraid of hard work and getting stuck in
Can work well when things get fast-paced
Takes pride in keeping a kitchen clean and organised
Has an interest in food and would potentially like to learn more
Can reliably travel to Stow-on-the-Wold for their shifts
Previous kitchen experience is useful, but it isn’t essential. Attitude and reliability matter to us.

One important thing…
You must be able to reliably get to and from Stow-on-the-Wold (GL54) for your shifts. Public transport can be limited, particularly around hospitality hours, so please consider your travel arrangements before applying.
